I'm on vacation until tomorrow and I'm sending this from a laptop in a flat in an undisclosed location. I will thus be brief... I'm awaiting final confirmation from the labs before uploading FIPS 1.1. The only real change is that some extra files have been moved inside the security boundary. That means fipscanister.o is quite a bit larger now. In application terms relinking with the new distribution is probably the only change that will be required.
