Hi Gayathri,
I also thought the same that EXP1024 ciphers should
work with 1024 bit key but when I used 1024 bit key and corresponding cert
on the apache server I got a handshake failure when I used EXP1024 cipher
but then I changed the keylength to 512 and things started working fine.

You can yourself verify what I am saying is correct or not

did you try "man ciphers"?

EXP1024 has to work on 1024 bit key, which is why it is called so,
definitely they are stronger than "normal" EXP ciphers..once again EXP
ciphers are reduced in strength so that it can be exportable in US, and
I believe now there are no such restrictions..atleast thats what I got
from ICSA labs.
