Hi everyone

I’d like to know if there is a way to determine or examine the openssl engine statistics created upon imaps ve pop3s requests. Actually want to know whether our SSL accaelerator card (ATALLA -- AXL600L) is in use by means of openssl builtin engine.

Here are the neccessery infos

Platform

RHELAS 3.0 UP 4 with kernel 2.4.21-20.ELsmp

openssl-devel-0.9.7a-33.12

openssl096b-0.9.6b-16

openssl-0.9.7a-33.12

mod_ssl-2.0.46-44.ent

httpd-2.0.46-44.ent

httpd-devel-2.0.46-44.ent

imap-2002d-9

imap-utils-2002d-9

php-imap-4.3.2-19.ent

imap-devel-2002d-9

AXLdrivers : /RHLinux/Version8.0/axldrv-2.8-1.src.rpm

Unfortunately there is no actual support for enterprise linux- last is for rh8.0, But drivers can work with RHELAS3.0 if you play a bit with Makefile, so there is no problem with mod_ssl and https requests.

The only problem (if there is) I can’t proof wheter openssl use axl600l for imaps request. (There is same problem for hardware ssl accelerator card Broadcom CryptonetX ubsec  http://docs.us.dell.com/support/edocs/comm/r35143/en/intro.htm  ) im not sure cause diagnostic utulity axl_diag (coms with drivers and application package) doesn’t count on while imaps or pop3s requests is continuing. There is no info from axldiag.log or system log files.

Here is my openssl.cnf file and engine configuration

epenssl_conf=openssl_init

[openssl_init]

oid_section = new_oids

engines=engine_section

[engine_section]

atalla=atalla_section

[atalla_section]

engine_id=atalla

init=1

Would you please help me or show me the way? Maybe I missing some thing not obvious. 2cards 1 problem !!

Thanks in advance!
