I am working on a application that will support S/MIME and I need to

the answer to this question?

Depends on what you mean by "entire". It supports almost all of the mandatory
requirements and most of the optional ones.

Not all of the functionality is available from the "smime" tool though.

As I look through the RFC, there are sections that state "MUST" and "SHOULD".  Is there a way, short of an extensive code analysis, to determine exactly what "MUST" and "SHOULD" parts of the RFC OpenSSL supports ?

Thanks again....
