Hi: This must be common for an existing c/s application to which SSL must be
added. This is exactly what we faced earlier this year. Our server has
been around a long time, and has a very strong cross-release capability. We
had to accept both secure and non-secure connections, in particular where
the client doesn't know how to negotiate a secure session. Release
transition is really important to us, so we had to be able to accept both on
the same port.

I got good suggestions from other members on this list. visit here
http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg34924.html for a
useful reply to my original question. I got several off-list replies, which
I'll search for if needed.

For more details my own user experience, we can take the details off-list.

Subject: Secure and non secure connection

Hi all !
I must secure a daemon with openssl. I would like to be able to accept
secure and non secure connections on the same port.
Someone has also done something like that ?

TIA

Frédéric
