Hello,
I am using openssl 0.9.7d , and i used CA.pl command
to create my CA. just when i was signing user request
i got this error
4907:error:0E06D06C:configuration file
routines:NCONF_get_string:no
 value:conf_lib.c:329:group=CA_default
name=unique_subject

After doing google on it i found it is a known bug in
this version...
I dont know whether the cert and key produced are
safe or not. I wanted to install a latest snapshot as
suggested.. but the problem is how to uninstall 0.9.7d
and start using the latest snapshot...

I tried make clean but doesnt help as i saw pkgconfig
still reports 0.9.7d and the /usr/local/bin/openssl
binary file is still the old one....

also the snapshot of 6 october 2004, when i ran CA.pl
i got...
-newca, nknown option -next_serial
usage: x509 args
-inform arg - input format - default PEM (one of
DER, NET or PEM)
-outform arg - output format - default PEM (one of
DER, NET or PEM)
-keyform arg - private key format - default PEM
-CAform arg - CA format - default PEM
-CAkeyform arg - CA key format - default PEM
-in arg - input file - default stdin
and more ......................

i guess there is some error in the script..

Can some body help me please..

thanks
nitin
