apachectl startssl
should do it.

Are there any interesting messages at startup time in

Hello
I am new to the list and have tried going through the archives a bit,
but i
could not easily find the answer to my question... at any rate, here
it is:
OpenSSL does not seem to properly initialize when I start up Apache (or
Apache2.) I am running OpenSSL 0.9.7b-133. This is mostly a vanilla
install of
Suse. I have copied the configuration format from a known working
configuration
on another server. I have (of course) replaced the private key and
certificate
files with ones I have created as a test (self signed.) mod_ssl is
definitely
enabled, however, whenever i start Apache up it will not give me a
pass-phrase
dialog. And it simply refuses connections on port 443. (oh yeah...
i also
checked and disabled the firewall and I have the virtual server
binding to
_default_)
I am all out of ideas. It simply will not come up. Help! :-)
Thanks in advance...
