At least he once answered that to me, and after decrypting his answer I found the following files: http://cvs.openssl.org/dir?d=openssl-play/steve/x509ac And indeed, it seems you can build RFC 3281 attribute certificates with the structures presented there. It requires quite some coding however to get it done, at least with openssl 0.9.7a which I used.
