I am having trouble connecting with client browsers on the external IP
address.

I have installed Win2k SP3/ Apache 1.3.26 with SSL. My complete server is
SSL-protected.

When I connect to "localhost" and to "127.0.0.1" with IE5.5 or Netscape 4.7,
SSL works fine (checked ssl.log)

However, when I connect to a HTTPS page at the external IP address, I get a
501 error:
(this is a dynamic IP address, used for testing purposes)
80.200.141.17 - - [02/Oct/2002:13:55:12 +0200] "\x80L\x01\x03" 501 - "-" "-"

Hints (after testing):
The problem is not related to the use of a firewall
Nor is it related to cookies
Neither IE5.5 or Netscape 4.7 manage to connect .

I have no idea where to look.
