Subject: help needed
hi,
Iam running a Client/Server application written
in C++ on Windows platform. I have enabled SSL communication for the
same. I followed the instructions from www.openSSL.org, downloaded
Openssl-engine, installed ActivePerl on both Client and Server machines and
used SSL library functions in my program.
SSL communication worked fine.
As part of testing I then uninistalled ActivePerl
on both machines, and expected SSL communication to fail.
However to my surprise SSL communication still
worked fine.
At the first place, I need to know why
Active Perl is required on Client/Server machine??
What role does ActivePerl play for any SSL
transaction?
Is it perfectly alright to do SSL communication
without ActivePerl installed on Client/Server machines ?
Thanx in
advance. Rajiv
