Hello! I'm new to to openssl, and run it on a Sparc with Solaris 8, so the only thing I can help you with is the first point. You have to visit GNU:s homepage and get the gnu-version. The URL is: http://www.gnu.org/software/software.html You have to compile and install it. I had the same problem then installing openssl on my SPARC box, and please check the path-string. I hope this will help you with the first problem.
