Sorry forgot to add a subject field Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to ask if anyone here can help me with a concern that I have. We are using the libcryp library as a dynamic library. My question and concern is when we refresh the library on a system older products may stop running. For instance when we move from 0.9.6c to 0.9.7 the lack of compatibility will cause older applications to fail when they reside on the same machine with newer applications, or maybe an older application will be installed back leveling the libcrypt dll and causing the newer application to fail. Has anyone here looked into how to version dynamic libraries. I know OS/2 has a dllrename routinue that will remap the dll pointers to the new name supplied. Are there other methods or ways? Thanks - John ______________________________________________________________________ OpenSSL Project http://www.openssl.org User Support Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Automated List Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED]
