Of course, one would be wise not to blindly trust a certificate authority just becuase somebody else trusts it. Depending on how important the data is that you're securing, you would probably want to review the documented practices and limits of liability offered by each certificate authority before you explicitly trust it. This step is fundamental to the use of digital certificates for data security.
