I installed openssl version 0.9.6 on a Tru64 Unix
box.
I encountered the following errors
while doing a 'make install'
Can't locate Getopt/Long.pm in @INC (@INC contains:

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ../../util/pod2man.pl line 308. *** Exit 2 Stop. I then removed the 'install_docs' from the Makefile
so that the 'make' only did 'make all'. This allowed the install to go thru
without any errors.
But now when I tried to generate a certificate
using "openssl req -x509 -text -new -newkey rsa:1024 -out server.pem -md5 -days
2000", I get the following error
