Hi everyone, I'm quite new to this domain. I need an
explanation on the difference between the personal certificates and machine
certificates. By machine Certificates, I think it denotes either SSL
client or SSL server certificates.... it raises another question: does machine
certificates only means a method for establishing SSL communication ..or
otherwise can it be used for some other purposes ?. I'm using Microsoft crypto API for generating
CSR and it is submitted to the Netscape CMS for issuance. I have generated a
CSR for a user and the certificate issued is perfect. But now I
need to issue a machine certificate (SSL client or server cert). I think it has
to be dealt during the CSR generation. What are the fields we have to look for? In the certificate for the CMS admin the
following field is there for subject. CN = CMS Administrator 0.9.2342.19200300.100.1.1 = admin Any solution or idea is welcome. Please help me Rakesh R Ushustech (Email:
