I have succesfully installed open-ssl on AIX (but not without some
difficulties ... :-) )
You need :
- a C compiler : prefer GCC instead of xlc
- PERL 5.003 (for egd)
- Apache 1.3.12 and openssl-0.9.6.tar.gz
- and you also need egd-0.8 which you can grab from :
http://www.lothar.com/tech/crypto/
Please, read the http://www.openssl.org/support/faq.html#USER1 and
http://www.openssl.org/docs/crypto/RAND_egd.html to know how to install and
launch egd with openssl.
