As a newbie, I compiled my understanding of SSL concepts so far at http://eda.ei.tum.de/~mcp/ssl_intro since I missed a tutorial for SSL using and programming besides the man pages. There are examples for openssl usage to create certificates and keys and a small example server and client in C on Linux. It would be kind if somebody who knows about SSL programming could have a look at these and comment.
