Hi all,

I need to compile openSSL 0.9.6 to work with KDE 2.1.1.

I am using Solaris 2.6, but usually use gnu gcc and binutils when
compiling software on my workstation. This would not install (compile
was fine) openSSL. When I had a look in the Makefile, there was
something about not using gnu ranlib. So I changed the Makefile to use
/usr/ccs/bin/ranlib, ran make install again, and all seemed hunky dory.
However, now, upon compiling kdelibs (with gnu binutils), I am told
there are loads of undefined references when it gets to kssl.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Has anyone out there compiled these
packages for Sol 2.6? I feel like I am banging my head against a brick
wall... If I haven't given enough information, please advise...

Regards,

Tony
