Hi, I am relatively new to installing OpenSSL I have installed Perl on the machine (AIX 4.3.2.0) and have run the configure program using the following command: ./config --prefix=/opt/OpenSSL This seems to work ok but when I run the make command I get a number of warnings most of which are making all in crypto... cc -I. -I../include -O -DAIX -DB_ENDIAN -qmaxmem=16384 -c mem.c 1506-507 (W) No licenses available. (I am looking into this licencing issue) - but at the end I get the following error: make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 40. Stop. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1. Stop. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1. The AIX manual suggests that there is either a syntax error in the source code or that the permissions in the directory do not have write access. I know that the permissions are ok. I am just wondering if any one has seen this kind of problem before and how I can go about fixing it.
