Hard to say without the "mail.eml" file.
What is the e-mail address in the my_signature.pem certificate?

You are welcome to send me the mail.eml file and I will do some checking.

Best regards

Emne: SMIME. Problems with Outlook

Hi,
I have generated with the OpenSSL 0.9.6 a signed smime, with the following syntax:

openssl smime -sign -in mail.txt -out mail.eml -signer my_signature.pem -inkey my_signature.rsa -from [EMAIL PROTECTED] -to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

The my_signature.pem is a certificate which was issued for signature, and the my_signature.rsa is the corresponding private key. The mail.txt is a simple text file.

The smime generated can't be watched with Outlook. The error message is the following :"There are security problems...the message has been tampered with." And in the mail security section appears: "Digitally signed - signature invalid".
But if I view the ID file, eveything seems to be all right.
What should I do? Where is the mistake ?

Thanks,

andras
