I'm not sure, but I seem to remember having seen this error before.
If I remember correctly it has got nothing to do with the password, like the
error message suggests.
Is your certificate in PEM format?
If not, it will cause a strange error message.
For some unknown reason MS IIS4 only accepts PEM encoded certificates
whereas all other MS products handles/produces DER encoded certificates.
