This could be a little off-topic, but:
I'm having difficulties getting imaps and pop3s to work.
Has anyone on this list was successful?
I've done everything from compiling OpenSSL-0.9.6
w/ imap-2000a. Placed all port entries within
/etc/services as well as /etc/inetd.conf. The certs
for the server (CA.pl -newca, CA.pl -newreq, and
CA-sign) created and placed within /usr/local/openssl/certs
(newcert.pem), created self-signed certs for imapd and ipop3d
(imapd.pem and ipop3d.pem), and disabled tcp_wrappers
for pop3 and imap. Ports 993 (imaps) and 995 (pop3s) is
in /etc/services (mentioned above).

At this point I'm stuck. Here are my questions:

1. Am I supposed to import the imapd.pem and ipop3d.pem
onto every clients workstation (Netscape and IE)?
2, Or, am I supposed to import the actual server's cert
onto every clients workstation (Netscape and IE)?
3. Do I have to use an app, such as stunnel or sslwrap
   with imaps/pop3s?

I've tried to send this to the IMAP list, but I've
received no response. Hopefully I'm not the only
one having problems with this.

I know this is off-topic, but I'm hoping for the proper
solution. I need the remaining steps to complete this
task. Thanks for your responses.
