My gut tells me that your perl installation is bad and I might
try recompiling it from scratch. I get a feeling that all is
not well on the Cobalt Raq-2... you might try the latest gcc too.
Shoot though it could be your linker or glibc, I don't know.
As far as how to debug a linker error, I don't know can you
run that line under gdb, or strace and get more clues there?
