I'm trying to make and install openssl.0.9.6 on Linux S/390 to build
mod_ssl for
apache.
For configure I use the no-asm option. After Configure I have to edit
the
Makefile and remove the option '-m486' at the Compileroptions.

Do I have to use another option ?

During make following warning appears :
dgst.c:227: warning: comparison is always false due to limited range of
data typ

I fixed this with a cast '(char)'.

After all did 'make test' with following result:

...
./md4test
test 1 ok
test 2 ok
test 3 ok
test 4 ok
test 5 ok
test 6 ok
error calculating MD4 on
'12345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234

Please can anybody help me ?
Is there any older version of openssl that works ?

Thanks
