I've been trying, unsuccessfully to find a windows based (binary preferred)
telnet client that supports SSL, specifically that can communicate with an
openssl enabled server.
Apologies in advance for what has got to be a FAQ, but I have tried
to find the info from the openssl web site and links from there.
Also have searched the archive for this list, with no luck.
Things that I've tried, but aren't working for me, or aren't quite right are:
(and please correct me if I am wrong:)
ssltelnet - I did succeed in downloading and running a pre-built windows
client (both versions 01 and 02), but could not establish a
connection
with my server, and no useful indication of the problem was given.
SSL-MZTelnet - souce code only (which would be OK), and appears
to be UN*X only, from a quick reading of the README file.
sTelnet - listed on the openssl/apps page, but the link doesn't work so I can't
say whether this would work for me or not.
Any information, particularly links to a pre-built (commercial OK!) windows based
telnet/terminal emulator, SSL capable client would be very much appreciated.
