I'm using a recently fresh installation of Mandrake 7 linux, and I am trying to compile the OpenSSL libraries to get a libcrypto out of it.  I ran the config script, and it chose linux-elf.  Unfortunately I am running into these errors:

[root@omicron openssl-0.9.5a]# make

Am I just blindly not seeing something obvious?

Thank you!
