Ok Stephen, I apologise if I appeared disrespectful - I didn't mean to. But
for someone like myself - a crypto newbie, if you'll excuse the term - the
OpenSSL docs are so much gibberish to me. Even the mod_ssl docs, while a
little easier to comprehend, are difficult to follow. I guess that rather
than bitching about the OpenSSL docs I should be trying to learn more about
cryptography, and if possible using that knowledge to help document things
like OpenSSL in a "plain-english" context.
However, I don't know where to start. I've read the pdf's that come with
PGP, which gives me a good, simple outline of public key cryptography. But
SSL is still rocky ground. Can you recommend some good (online if possible)
tutorials for someone who wants to start right at the beginning, and work
his way up?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
adam
