I installed Apache 1.3.9 with the ssl mod already packaged with it as part
of the RPM and I get an error while starting the httpd daemon:

Undefined symbol: ap_global_ctx

Not that it should matter, but just in case, I also have the PHP3
extensions installed. Any ideas what is causing this and how I could fix
it? I couldn't find any info on linux sites through Google or on openssl.
