OpenSA Version 1.3.6d The Apache Win32 solution http://www.opensa.de/ ______________________________________________________________________ The OpenSA Project team is pleased to announce the release of version 1.3.6d of our Open Source package for Win32. This new version incorporates several changes and bugfixes to the package (for a complete list see http://www.opensa.de/news/changelog.htm). This Apache package provides a full implementation of Apache and it`s commonly used extension modules for the Win32 plattform, which means both Windows 9x and Windows NT and Windows 2000. The OpenSA package is based on Apache, the worlds famous Web Server, mod_ssl, the Apache Interface to OpenSSL by Ralf S. Engelschall, and OpenSSL, the Open Source SSL/TLS toolkit, which is based on SSLeay from Eric A. Young and Tim J. Hudson. The most significant changes are: o Current PHP4 Beta 1 release added o Installation now complete. Configuration in httpd.conf creates ok, PATH additions work for Win95/98/NT/2000. o Updated to current mod_ssl release 2.3.11-1.3.6 As a summary, here are its main features: o Open-Source software (BSD-style license) o Useable for both commercial and non-commercial use o Available for Win32 (Windows 95/98/NT/2000) platform o 128-bit strong cryptography world-wide (SSLv2, SSLv3 and TLSv1) o Full Visual Studio Makefile Support o Complete Auto Configuration with the InstallShield installation o Comfortable Installation using InstallShield Professional, InstallFromTheWeb and PackageForTheWeb o Full User and Developer Support OpenSA version 1.3.6d is considered to be the best version of OpenSA available and users of previous versions are encauraged to upgrade as soon as possible.
