I've searched the archive for this list and SSLeay lists and can't find a
solution to this problem.

I can create a certificate request with MSIE 5. I sign it with OpenSSL using
this command:

/usr/local/openssl/bin/openssl ca -policy policy_anything -out newcert.pem
-config /usr/local/openssl/openssl.cnf -infiles
/home/ppalmer/demoCA/joeblo.pem

I then cut out the block of text between the ===BEGIN and END=== lines, put
it in a file with the .cer extension and then go to Tools->Internet
Options->Content->Certificates->Personal->Import.  I select my joeblo.cer
file, and it puts it into the Other People list if I choose the
"Automatically select ..." option. If I choose the "Place all certificates
into the following store" and select "Personal", it says "Import
Successful", but it doesn't list it. Additionally, when I set up my server
to require Client Certs signed by me, it can't find the one it says it
imported.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Pete Palmer
