hi,
i have noticed that myself on the most recent linux based implementations
you need to pull down the development libraries for the linux version you
are using and install it. for some reason these are not installed in the
custom, workstation, or server installs for rpm based systems. i have also
noticed that debian does the same thing. you need to have gcc installed as
well as the dependencies need to be addressed. the exact libraries i am
not sure of but you can locate it at the appropiate linux ftp site. Which
one i am not sure but also note that there are rpms available for openssl
on the mandrake site if that is of help. let me know which works for you
as far as ftp sites so others can benefit as well.. preferable the tarbells
should install the programs cleanly if you have all the right libraries.
                                                        Regards,
                                                        [EMAIL PROTECTED]
