If you read the latest status -

you can find a few words under OPEN ISSUES - they have been like that for
about
6 mo.
There are to ways you could get up and running:
The first is to build NET:SSLeay with openssl 0.9.1c. the second is to try
out
Gisle Aas's Crypt::SSL with a patch from Joshua Chamas (See the
openssl-users
list about the beginning of April. I was able to build that with a current
cvs version of openssl after only changing two includes - the plus about
this
compared to Net::SSLeay is that it works with lwp.
