RedHat 5.3 was never commercially released (and to my knowledge, there
was none ... 5.7 -> 5.9 were used for the 6.0 beta tests).

RedHat 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, and 6.0 fully support Linux software RAID. I am
running software RAID on a stock 5.2 install right now.

I hear SuSE is nice, but I don't think there is any reason for Linux
users to spread FUD about distributions they don't care for, just as
there isn't reason for Linux users to FUD the *BSD family. Microsoft has
enough FUD for everyone.
