It is more than that, actually, since the password encryption of these
"PEM" objects also follows the PEM specification, I think; or at least
it resembles the one from PEM.  The name definitely is misleading, but
all we have to do is find a new expansion for the PEM acronym, since
where people used to say "Privacy Enhanced Mail" now chances are
they'll say "S/MIME".
