Well, "DRM" the SL permissions system ain't but it IS a "digital rights management system" in the broader sense that it is meant to enable at least legal protections against IP theft... ...and, the one court case I'm aware of almost established that it is sufficient for taking legal action. At least the judge didn't toss the case out of court at first glance.
