I really don't think this kind of response is appropriate or fair to anyone. 
OpenSolaris is not dead, it's just that we won't be getting code drops until 
there are official Solaris releases and Oracle won't be making Indiana builds 
anymore. So is it really dead? No, we just don't get nightly drops anymore of 
the code. There are still plenty of folks running 2009.06 and /dev updates. 
When 
Oracle releases Solaris 11 Express, we'll probably have a way to update our 
images to it. So for enthusiasts, things are not all doom an gloom. OpenIndiana 
is another option like so many now for x86 such as Belinix, Schillix, Nextenta, 
etc. 


I just find it distasteful for anyone to shoot down someone's questions or to 
even suggest they switch to another OS. If you feel that way, you shouldn't be 
here.

Perhaps you aren't aware that OpenSolaris is dead.  Not sure why you're using 
build 134 that is from March, 2010.  


Try OpenIndiana or whatever they call it, or move to another Unix-based 
operating system.
