Have you considered running OpenIndiana? It's built using the latest source code drops from Oracle, which are continuing (apart from the ONNV consolidation which is frozen at build 147. But we'll be switching to Illumos in the near future where development continues.) Our releases are running a little bit behind Oracle as we're still sorting out our infrastructure, automated builds, project structure etc, but the aim is to have regular builds going again very soon.
