I find it totally inappropriate for open source project to have such secrecy policies. But as Ben Rockwood pointed out - while OpenSolaris has open source, is not an open source project (see http://cuddletech.com/blog/pivot/entry.php?id=1130 ). However sad it may sound - that's the situation. Nokia for example just recently announced that Qt framework will have an open development process and governance: http://blog.qt.nokia.com/2010/06/03/open-governance/ That's a real open source project.
