For all others to "stop developing" and all focus being given to linux,
something REALLY awful would have to happen. I really don't see
Oracle/Sun, IBM (and Bull who license IBM Power and AIX), HP(with the
remnants of DEC), Yahoo (who does a lot on the BSD front), Apple
(however their return to the community is little), Whatever remains of
SGI, et cetera stopping all development of things they've invested
heavily in.
For that to happen we'd need something on a cataclysmic scale, and then
there wouldn't really be linux-development either.
