Looking for history on the Sun { 10_, 9_, 8_ }
SunAlert_Patch_Clusters (huge, over 1+GByte) fails
to successfully finish the "Pre-Patch" to renovate
(tar, untar, zip, unzip, patchadd, patchrm, etc).
Pre-patch has to be manually installed, piece by
piece .
I have NO Sun support to overcome this. Once the
P-patch is partly working on the One Sun, the Sol_10
super SunAlert cluster would un-package. Super
patch cluster is now demanding a never before needed
and not yet available extended swap space (2 X the
RAM is not enough).
How much is enough swap for 10_SunAlert?
RAM 640, SWAP1 652, SWAP2 652,
Foreseeably will have to find more useable disk for
the patch process to complete on the Solaris 9 & 10
boxes. ??? ADVICE ???
