Actually, I have a little something here myself ...

http://www.dell.com/solaris
Indicates they're obviously serious about supporting solaris. They have Sun
certify their hardware for compatibility, and they sell Sun solaris support
contracts, direct with Sun.

http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/solutions/DellM905SPECjbb0109.pdf
Shows recent benchmarks Dell vs HP vs IBM. But where is the Sun
representation? Conspicuously missing.

And while I browse through sales & support ...
For some reason, Dell's server product offering has really degraded. In a
4U configuration, they've eliminated the products I currently own (PE 2900)
and the new products seem to be a step backward... they can reach a maximum
2TB storage, and SATA is not an option. In the 2U 2950 that they still
offer, they're able to surpass that, to a meager 6TB maximum (raw, 6 disks).
In fact, if you go with an 8 disk configuration, 1TB drives are not
available, and disk7 and disk8 are each $999 for 600G which is appalling.

Oy. The world is falling apart people. Sun, Netapp, Dell... have all
taken a turn for the worse. What's next.
