I would suggest checking the documentation.  The Trusted Extensions
packages substantially change the behavior of the system -- a trusted
system is _not_ the same as a plain Solaris system.  Thus,
installation of them has to be a choice.

For example, when a system is trusted, Zones are used to represent
security labels.  The user sees a single system, even though each
label is implemented with a separate zone.  This implies that you
_cannot_ set up ordinary zones on a trusted system; they're all part
of the collective.

May other things change as well, such as the operation of TCP/IP.

(Yes, it might have been possible to make the trusted mode on/off
switch a run-time variable that's separate from the package
installation, but that's not how it was designed.)

security-discuss might be a better list for these questions, as
they're not really related to install itself or the development of
Open Solaris.
