This change is going to make it very hard to deliver other projects.

For each BrandZ release, I sync the BrandZ gate up to the same Nevada build
as the current OpenSolaris release. This lets us deliver just the usr/src
tree (*), which can be built against the officially released 'closed-bins'
package.

If the OpenSolaris release is going to be based on some non-archived
snapshot of the Nevada gate taken at some random point during the week,
then it's going to be very difficult for anybody to generate a usr/src that
corresponds to the closed-bins you distribute.

If you are planning to release a nightly build every day - or even every
week, could you please make sure that a snapshot corresponding to the
latest 'real' build is also available?

This isn't a new problem for OpenSolaris, it has existed inside
Sun for years. It was this very issue (and some related ones
to do with patching) that caused the creation of the per build
snapshots of the ON gate.

As long as the source drops are clearly labeled as build snapshots
or nightly drops it should be fine.
