Well, the problem I see is that I am unable to find the keywords that are needed to run a dhcp server anywhere in the documentation. How do I add a MAC address for PXE boot? How do I configure fixed IP addresses for specific MAC addresses? Ho do I configure a range of IP addresses within a subnet to use foe DHCP? How do I add a #150 tag for the grub menu.lst file name? Instead there are other crypting things in the config that I don't understand. > > Well, I need to replace in.dhcpd from Sun by a working program which could > > be > > ISC dhcpd. OK, I understand that it may have advantages to have a configure program for DHCP that is able to maintain a group of properties without the need to edit /etc/dhcpd.conf and look for the right place. But this only makes sense in case the configure program does what people expect from it...
