i agree 100%. as far as DBUS/HAL go, making it work on Solaris comes
first. there's no DBUS/HAL code in KDE releases right now. it won't be
in until KDE4, which is scheduled to be out a year from now (early
Fall 2006).

yes, yes, and yes. this way we have a shared space, it is obviously a
community project, and we can also separate those topics which are
specific to just one desktop and not the other (just keeping
everyone's inbox somewhat under control).

i wasn't trying to make a sectarian statement with the suggestion to
move to a mailing list. :-) i just didn't know this would be happening
(me so happy!! :-) and i didnt want to annoy everyone on this list
with kde specific stuff. but i agree 100%, the OS desktop project is a
community conversation, it's about Solaris/OpenSolaris and sharing
first and foremost.
