hi friends. pretty desperate here, i don't know what happened other than my data appears to be corrupted. before i try anything drastic i thought id ask people who actually know what they are doing first.
i needed to power down the server for a month. shutdown fine, pulled the 6 disks in a safe (pool is made of 6 identical disks). came back, put the disks in, powered on the computer. my zpool didn't show up. the rpool i could care less about, other then i need to use it to access my data zpool. #########start1############ asdf@something3:~$ uname -a SunOS something3 5.11 snv_111b i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris asdf@something3:~# zpool status -v pool: cesspool state: UNAVAIL status: One or more devices could not be opened. There are insufficient replicas for the pool to continue functioning. action: Attach the missing device and online it using 'zpool online'. see: http://www.sun.com/msg/ZFS-8000-3C scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM cesspool UNAVAIL 0 0 0 insufficient replicas raidz1 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 insufficient replicas c8d0p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open c8d1p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open c9d0p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open c9d1p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open c10d0p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open c11d0p0 UNAVAIL 0 0 0 cannot open pool: rpool state: ONLINE status: One or more devices has experienced an error resulting in data corruption. Applications may be affected. action: Restore the file in question if possible. Otherwise restore the entire pool from backup. see: http://www.sun.com/msg/ZFS-8000-8A scrub: none requested config: NAME STATE READ WRITE CKSUM rpool ONLINE 0 0 0 c7d1s0 ONLINE 0 0 0 errors: Permanent errors have been detected in the following files: rpool/ROOT/opensolaris:<0x0> //usr/lib/libmlib/libmlib_sse2.so.2 //usr/lib/security/pam_unix_cred.so.1 //usr/lib/gdmlogin //usr/lib/locale/sk_SK.UTF-8/sk_SK.UTF-8.so.3 //usr/lib/locale/es_ES.UTF-8/es_ES.UTF-8.so.3 #########end1########## also, i have rebooted and sometimes it will have the raidz and one disk say degraded. so the pool "cesspool" reads differently from boot to boot. i'm afraid to do anything without some advice or direction because i usually don't have a problem like this (been running 2 years) and i'm not familiar with seeing this. any help would be more than appreciated. the sob story here is these are my backups and my original drives were stolen from my house when it flooded. these are all i have left. please let me know if you have recommendations for the best way about this. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-code mailing list opensolaris-code@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/opensolaris-code
