Are you sure you don't have something unusual in your $HOME/.cshrc? I just tried those commands on a test machine (roughly build 91), and I saw no such thing. "csh /usr/bin/echo test" produced a garbage message as expected (/usr/bin/echo is a binary ;-}): # csh /usr/bin/echo test "$%&)+^B^G^H: Event not found # And "csh -c echo test" produced one line of blank output, as expected: # csh -c echo test # > (BTW, if this is the wrong forum, my apologies in advance. Seems like as good as any. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ opensolaris-code mailing list opensolaris-code@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/opensolaris-code
