thanks for the reply. The problem is your item 2. The railway lines are all in 
OSM, and are all displayed in the standard OSM tiles. The problem lines however 
have no usage tag, and so are treated by OpenRailwayMap's renderer as 'minor 
tracks', even though they're not.
