I do not think so. libusb codes under FreeBSD 8.0 and later
are not maintained by the libusb project but by FreeBSD project.

So Peter is out. :-)

If it works under Arch Linux and then you probably have to ask in
the FreeBSD USB mailing list. Hans Petter Selasky is the
author of the new USB stack for FreeBSD 8.0 and later
and the author of the libusb20 library. He is very helpful there.
