Hi,

Communication using DCC seems very slow for me. Watching it gave me a
flashback to my first computing experiences using a ASR33 :) (a 110 baud
mechanical teletype for the youngsters).

I am trying to send arbitrary text messages to the debug console. I am
using a libdcc function. Unfortunately I send one character at a time
because I don't know the text length in advance and RAM is tight so I
don't want too long a buffer either. I expect this is part of the reason
it is so slow. But is there something that can be done to speed it up?

I used to use my Abatron bdi2000 like this, you just telnetted to a
special port and characters sent to the dcc would appear on the
terminal. It seemed very fast, I would love to have a similar facility
with openocd.

I am using Amontec JTAG-Key dongle, trunk version of openocd, ADUC70xx
microcontroller, set 6000kHz JTAG clock.

Thanks,

John
